Mother of swiftie blames Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster for death of her daughter
Lawyer says they caused "young girl’s brain to explode."
“My heart is broken because I had to say goodbye to my sweet sweet angel. Madison was taken from this earth to go live in the heavens today,” Jessica Miller wrote in a Facebook post Saturday.
“I will make sure your murder doesn’t go unpunished. Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster will pay for what they did to you. RIP my beautiful baby girl!”
Reginald Smyth, an attorney at Smith, Smyth & Smythe Law in Toronto, confirmed that Miller has retained his firm’s legal services.
“We intend to pursue legal action for the wrongful death of Madison Miller,” Smyth said. “Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster must be held accountable for the pain and suffering caused by their negligence.”
A seventh concert date for Toronto, ON, for Taylor Swift’s popular Eras Tour was added to Ticketmaster’s website Friday. Swift is scheduled to perform on November 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23.
The new concert listing for November 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Toronto’s Rogers Centre showed a map of the concert venue and a message stating, “On sale date and times are in the works – please check back!”
The listing was taken down a few minutes later and the link to it was replaced with a message stating, "This Event Cannot Be Found. You'll be automatically redirected to the homepage shortly, or you may head there now. We apologize for the inconvenience."
News of the of a new concert listing and its abrupt cancellation spread like wildfire across social media.

Swifties like Madison Miller were driven into widespread panic by the removal of the concert listing.
“Madison was a devoted swiftie. She ran down the stairs and said there was another chance to go to the Eras Tour,” her mother Jessica said. “A few minutes later, it happened.”
Jessica Miller was in her kitchen Friday afternoon when she heard a loud scream followed by a bang on the ceiling above her. She went upstairs to find her daughter unconscious and unresponsive on her bedroom floor.
Madison Miller, 16, was rushed by ambulance Friday afternoon to the Toronto Western Hospital emergency department where she was pronounced dead of a brain aneurysm 18-hours later.
“Ticketmaster caused a young girl’s brain to explode,” Smyth said. “That is Ticketmaster’s fault and it must take responsibility for its actions.”
According to Smyth, responsibility for Madison’s death lies not only with Ticketmaster but with Taylor Swift as well.
“As the deity of Swiftie Nation, Ms. Swift has an obligation to ensure that the actions of businesses and venders she authorizes to conduct business on her behalf do not act in a manner that is so reckless as to cause harm to her millions of parishioners,” Smyth added.
“I don’t want another mother of a swiftie to suffer the way I am. Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster have to pay for what they did to my baby girl,” Miller said.
“That’s why we must litigate. If we don’t, no one will stop them. They already got away with it when they did those pre-sales where you couldn’t buy tickets and now this. How many more swiftie lives will be lost before they’re stopped?” Smyth asked.
