Women are voting for women in 2024
MAGA Republicans warn that female voters are destroying the fabric of America
ATLANTA, GA – It is election day in the United States of America but already some 78 million votes were cast across 47 states before today.
Of that number, 1.8 million more votes have been cast by women than have been cast by men.
Nowhere is the gender gap larger than here in Georgia where 56% of early voters have been women, a number that truly worries MAGA Republicans like US Army veteran and Hall County resident Richard Schroeder.
“Early voting is turning our women into lesbians, so yeah, it’s a huge problem,” Schroeder said.
“When only 44% of the early voters are men but 100% of the voters are sexually attracted to women when they come out of the voting booth, you know the [electoral] system is fucked up,” he said.
Democrats say concerns such as the ones expressed by Schroeder are little more than baseless conspiracy theories.
“This conspiracy theory that everyone who votes becomes sexually attracted to women is a falsehood fabricated by foreign actors who want to interfere in our democratic process,” voting rights activist Stacey Abrams said.
“But I’ve seen the evidence with my own two eyes,” Schroeder said, pointing to a Harris-Walz campaign ad he insists is real.
In the campaign ad narrated by Julia Roberts, two women voting at the same time share what far-right media personality Alex Jones described as a “sexually charged” fleeting glance.
“I don’t like ‘em putting chemicals on the ballots that turn the frigging women gay,” an enraged Jones shouted on an episode of his Rumble show, which garnered less than 1000 views.
Abrams fears that voter suppression tactics will be widespread across Georgia and other states because MAGA Republicans and disgraced far-right media personalities are pushing the false narrative that voting is turning women into lesbians.
“There are calls to action in far-right echo chambers like X where Elon Musk is getting his algorithms to juice a campaign to turn the Peach State into an Eggplant State,” Jennifer McCoy, a Professor of Political Science at Georgia State University, said.
According to McCoy, those calls to action are explicitly targeting election day.
“The online narrative in some of these far-right corners of the internet seems to be that the best way to stop the deep state conspiracy from turning every woman in the United States into a lesbian is to start by disrupting the vote on election day,” she said.
“We’re already seeing troubling signs of an effort by the far-right to prevent women from exercising their power, autonomy, and right to vote by preying on the insecurities of toxic males,” Abrams said.
Abrams’s apprehension about how that will affect voter turnout and the integrity of the election are not without merit as Schroeder and other MAGA Republicans like him intend to block women from entering polling stations and exercising their right to vote.
“The most important thing you can do on election day is stop the steal, and that means stopping women from voting,” Schroeder said. “It’s something I have to do as a man to stop the lesbian agenda in its tracks and save our country.”
The fate of America depends on whether the voices of women across the country are heard in great numbers. Schroeder and his MAGA Republican brethren hope they do not.
If Schroeder succeeds in his efforts to interfere in the election and get his man elected or fails and ends up incarcerated is something we will not know until after all the ballots are counted.
